INVITATION FOR BIDS
PART 1 GENERAL
1.01 SECTION INCLUDES
A. Bids for the ADA Hard Surfacing and Drainage Project, Harrisburg School District, Harrisburg, Arkansas, will be received until 5:00 p.m. local time, November 30, 2009 in the Boardroom of Harrisburg School District, 207 West Estes, Harrisburg, Arkansas 72432, where the Bids will be opened and read aloud. All bidders are invited to attend. There will be only one proposal for the entire project.
B. Bids shall be submitted on the form provided by the Architect and delivered in a sealed opaque envelope clearly identifying the Bidder and Bidder's Arkansas Contractor's license number on the front.
C. Bidders are to comply with Section 00115 - Supplementary Invitation for Bids as found in the Contract Documents.
D. Bids will be based on a single lump sum contract.
E. Bidding documents may be examined at the offices of :

F. The Contract Documents may be obtained on the following basis:
1. Licensed General Contractors may obtain two sets of Contract Documents upon refundable deposit payment of $50.00. Full refund of deposit, minus $10.00 shipping/handling, will be made to General Contractors submitting a Bid and upon return of the documents in good condition to the Architect's office within 10 days after receipt of Bids.
2. Additional Contract Documents may be purchased for $ 25.00 per set, non refundable.
3. For the mutual protection of the Owner, Contractor and Architect, no partial sets of Contract Documents will be issued.
G. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashiers or Certified Check, in an amount equal to 5% of the Bid submitted, and payable to Harrisburg School District must accompany each Bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as may be required.
H. Performance and Payment Bond, equal to the Amount of the Contract, will be required of the bidder awarded the Contract.
I. All bidders must conform to the requirements of the Arkansas Contractor's Licensing Board.
J. No bidder may withdraw his Bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
K. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and waive any formalities not bound by Arkansas statutes. Proposals which fail to comply fully with any provision of the Bid Documents will be considered invalid and will not receive consideration. Proposals shall be addressed to the undersigned.
